The opportunity

A W holesale B anking Lending Deal Execution Officer is responsible to fully understand complex loan documentation and capture the agreements in our systems ensuring limits, collateral and financial covenants are captured correctly.

Lending Deal Execution is part of ING’s global WB COO Lending organization a nd is responsible for a wide range of mid-office Wholesale Lending related activities. These include bilateral - and syndicated credit facilities between Domestic and/or Foreign Clients and ING during the entire life-cycle of such credit facility.

Deal Execution advises on operational feasibility, execution and monitoring of such credit agreements according to Wholesale Lending applications and aligned with legally agreed terms / conditions and the applicable Bank’s and regulatory standards.

The team

At our Amsterdam office, we have six Deal Execution teams who practice Agile and Lean methodologies to further improve the client experience, the way we work and how we collaborate. Our purpose is to be the best - in - class in Lending Deal Execution services and meet agreed Service Levels with our Clients by collaborating within and across departments and teams and driv ing process improvement. Roles & responsibilities

  • Act as a linking-pin between Front Office, Risk Management and Deal Administration.

  • Together with the team, you have the responsibility for one or multiple Lending portfolios as deal owner. This means performing tasks with very high credit – and operational risks.

  • As a Lending Transaction Management Expert, you are capable of running a portfolio individually.

  • For this role, you are expected to guide and check the work of others in the team, including validation of deal closings and operational instructions. You will also be responsible for on-the-job training of junior CLT Specialists.

  • First point of contact for the external Client and Agent regarding operational questions, and advising on operational structure during Deal set-up.

  • Legal Documentation will serve as input document to capture/maintain the Deal, Limits, collateral and financial covenants in Loan IQ.

  • Checking Conditions precedent of new Deals and approving all client requests that will increase credit risk, before it is being processed by Deal Administration.

  • Deal Execution is responsible to transform each complex Deal or problem into a standard product in order to instruct Deal Administration on what has to be processed.

  • Handling of waivers and amendments, in-life (administrative) management of Deals.

  • Actively contributing to a positive and energetic atmosphere in the team.

Who are we looking for

  • You bring energy to your team and put the client first

  • 5-10 years of experience within Lending and/or Operations

  • (Deep) understanding of complex Lending structures

  • Professional level of English, Dutch is a plus

  • Positive attitude towards Agile and Lean way of working and the improvement of processes

  • Orange Code is your way of working

  • You are eager to learn and improve

  • You take the initiative where needed, have a positive attitude towards Agile and Lean way of working

  • Experience with our main application LoanIQ is a plus

  • You have at least Bachelor’s degree level working/thinking capacity and at least two years of relevant working experience
