Analyst in the TMT & Healthcare Sector Coverage team
The Telecom, Media and Technology & Healthcare Sector Coverage team offers an exciting position in Amsterdam for an ambitious professional who enjoys working in an international environment. The TMT & Healthcare sector team is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financing solutions to telecommunication, media, entertainment, technology, satellite and healthcare companies in the EMEA region, the Americas and in Asia-Pacific. As an Analyst, you will play an important role in the origination, structuring and execution of transformational financial solutions for international corporate clients in the dynamic TMT & Healthcare sectors.
Job description:
You will be a member of multiple deal teams involved in transactions which have a large impact on our clients. You work closely together with team members in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid and other locations, and with various product specialists across ING. In all your activities you will strive to meet client needs in the best way and beyond. As an Analyst in the TMT & Healthcare sector team your job is hugely diverse, but your main tasks consist of:
- Help building client relations and maintaining continuous dialogue with industry leaders and sector participants
- Performing portfolio management activities such as processing of credit reviews, waivers and amendments
- Maintaining active contacts with other departments/disciplines within ING such Corporate Finance, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Transaction Services and Risk Management
- Actively supporting deal generation, proactively contributing to the origination efforts of the team by preparing sector analyses, presentations and pitch books
- Assisting in structuring and negotiating of transactions in which ING acts as lead arranger
- Safeguarding high-quality and seamless execution of transactions
- Delivering complex financial models, credit analyses, rating profiles and peer group analysis and managing credit applications
- Assessing and reviewing due diligence on clients in a dynamic sector
- Assisting in the negotiation of transaction documentation with our clients
- Active involvement in the syndication or co-ordination of transactions

Due to the complexity of the assignments and the international nature of your work and your team, you will learn a lot. The global TMT & Healthcare sector team consists of dedicated professionals located in New York, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid and Singapore. The combined team in Amsterdam/Frankfurt/Madrid covers the EMEA region, together with PAM’s in other locations, and serves clients in a number of TMT & Healthcare sub-sectors. You will also work with the teams in New York and Singapore who cover the entire spectrum of TMT & Healthcare transactions in their region. ING is one of the leading banks in the sector and is continuously in the top of the EMEA league tables for lead arranger positions.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a pro-active professional with a strong personal drive and looking for opportunities on your own initiative. You have the ability to operate in a highly demanding environment, to deal with pressure and to perform under tight deadlines. You have a strong commercial drive and have excellent literacy and communication skills.
Personal profile:
- Ambitious international professional with a Masters’ degree with above-average academic grades
- 0-3 years of experience in the financial sector in an international transaction-driven environment (structured finance, leveraged finance, corporate finance)
- Financial, modelling & analytical skills, eye for detail
- High level of self-motivation and professional approach
- Good interpersonal & communication skills, strong team player
- Strong project management and deal execution skills
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written – fluency in other languages much appreciated
- Standard computer skills, focus on Excel and Powerpoint
