The opportunity
Within the HR organization, the role of a HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to enable the delivery of the People Vision through closely collaborating and working with the HR Communities of Expertise (CoEs) and People Services.
The purpose of the HRBP role is to work with Leaders to help shape and implement the business strategy and people agenda through enhancing their managerial capabilities and supporting their strategic people decisions, such as talent and succession planning, people development and team performance.
The HRBP position directly reports to the HRBP Lead COO(RF)/WB&ML Tech NL and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The HRBP’s scope will consist of a number of TECH NL based business accounts.
Roles and responsibilities
The HRBP works closely with business leaders and their management teams in shaping and implementing business strategy and the HR people agenda. Responsible for building a strong relationship with the business, the HRBP brings in-depth specialist knowledge in multiple HR areas of expertise. Equally, the HRBP has strong business acumen and affinity with the TECH organization.
Participating in management team meetings, the HRBP coaches and builds the capabilities of business leaders and their management teams on the people strategy. The HRBP also provides them with global people solutions that will support the business strategy.
The HRBP plays a strategic role in implementing global people solutions, developed by the HR experts, within the business they are responsible for.
Key activities include, amongst others:

partnering with business leaders to design the business and people strategy and building strategic workforce plans to support execution;

leading and supporting annual people processes; performance review, succession planning, talent review, action planning based on company surveys (OHI/WQ/Pulse);

developing the leadership of the future using the global talent programs;

acting as an ambassador of the diversity & inclusion-strategy;

acting as a change agent and represents the voice of people during business transformations.
The HRBP also feeds back the business needs and context to the HR experts, so they can create new or change existing people solutions.

Shaping the People and Business Agenda - partner with business leaders and their management teams to ensure that the right core people capabilities are available to allow for current and future business success.

Building a Performance Culture - coach business leaders and their management teams in using performance and talent management solutions to drive individual and team performance.

Promote and apply Global People solutions that meet business needs - bring and apply global people solutions, developed by the CoE, to the specific business context.

Collaborating to successfully convey the HR service delivery model - bring feedback on the business needs and context to the CoE and People Services to improve the people solutions.

Enabling Business Change – shaping and designing effective organisation and supporting leaders in guiding the change as change leaders.
Requirements

Strong business acumen.

A strong strategic focus and an ability to translate the people vision into increased business performance.

Affinity with numbers and data and a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building the people agenda.

Demonstrated consultation skills to help the business in understanding their people needs and propose the right global solution to fit that need.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a clear demonstration of influencing business leaders.

Practical experience of implementing significant change initiatives successfully.

Sensitivity to local/regional employment legislation and regulations.

Deep understanding of the HR service delivery model (Ulrich model) and how collaboration across functions is key in delivering value to the business.

Proven expertise in handling Reward related people topics
Further you are a strong communicator at all levels of the organization (excellent written and verbal English language skills and story-telling abilities). You are proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). You will hold a Master’s degree, preferably in HR or Business. Ideally, you will have had work experience in an international setting.
