We are looking for a Consultant strengthening our Operational Excellence (OPEX) team in WB COO.

Your role and work environment

  • As Consultant, you drive WB COO changes in an effective and efficient way in order to realise the Focus Strategy. Your focus will be on the execution of large cross border organisational transformation initiatives. For this specific role your gravity of expertise sits in Wholesale Banking (Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Lending). The scope of this transformation is design and implementation.
  • Your area of focus is embedding segmentation in the service delivery of all products, creating a coherent experience for our clients working closely with the product and regional COO’s. Your focus is to accelerate the initiatives around our FOCUS team: bring value to our clients and you do this on a global scale
  • You make connections between current events and the corporate strategy and/or the longer-term vision based on COO and WB strategy. You ensure that the plan to support the complex change or transition agenda is created and documented in close alignment with the respective stakeholders/tribes/business partners/external influencers. You are part of developing the strategy/ mission. You work on the purpose together with senior management.
  • You manage the detailed (local and global) delivery roadmap and the stages towards the target solution, and conduct impact assessments and impact analysis. You prepare and facilitate decision making and agreements, and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are involved on local and global level. By doing this you leverage the structure and the competencies of the various tribes involved to the max.
  • You monitor progress of the delivery of the theme and solution. You anticipate to possible impediments and guide interventions with leads and stakeholders (including the preparations and the agreements within WB COO. You adjust roadmap/solution in response to changing needs and gear between high level portfolio roadmap and investment theme.

We are looking for

  • Experienced in consultancy, operations and change.
  • Background in client services or sales, understanding the client needs
  • An inspiring, energetic & approachable change professional displaying the following behaviours:

    • Ability to drive and manage large change programs in an international context. Ability to master complex financial content.
    • Ability to drive complex WB design issues to a conclusion in close collaboration with Tribes and enterprise architects.

    • Ability to drive and deliver complex (multi-year) change programs on program level – covering multiple countries / functional departments

    • Proficient organisational sensitivity; ability to understand and take into account the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of an international organisation with multiple functional lines and one hierarchical line and deal with multiple (sometimes conflicting) interests.
    • Ability to display style flexibility to teams and adapt plan, approach and behaviour to the different needs, cultures and situations.
    • Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
    • Proficient resilience; having the experience to navigate through ambiguity and simplify complexity without losing essence.

    • Ability to coach more junior team members, optimize by working in collaboration
    • Identify impediments, prepare fall back scenario’s when needed and prepare action plans to cope with changing circumstances.

Proven track record and technical skills:

  • Master degree.
  • Proven record of relevant change execution experience preferably with international exposure.
  • A personality and the capabilities to function effectively within an Agile environment.
  • Competent knowledge of Wholesale Banking is a plus. Competent knowledge of WB and its corresponding IT landscape and end to end processes is required .
  • Proficient expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Proven experience in large transformation programs with high impact.
  • Excellent level of English.
