
Global Implementation manager
ING is looking for a Global Implementation manager at Senior level to join the Daily Banking department.
Job Description
As Global Implementation Manager you are a project manager who is responsible for implementing Transaction Services products and services (Payments, Cash Management, Trade, Working Capital Solutions and Factoring) for our internationally operating Corporate and FI customers. These implementations are completed by means of professional, efficient and structured project management. You act as a SPOC towards ING’s main Corporate clients and you are coordinating between ING’s operations, sales, relationship management, international Wholesale banking network and TS products and Channels.
The Global Implementation manager strives to implement products or onboard new clients in a effective client focused and timely manner. He/She is in control of the milestones that need to be taken to successfully finalize the implementation/onboarding and hand the client over to the client service teams for daily support. The Global Implementation manager is able to manage 10-12 projects at once in different stages. The Global Implementation manager is in close contact with the client and makes sure that the client is getting the best client experience during the implementation/onboarding.
Your work environment
- You will work in an international environment. Within the team, English is the main langue spoken and correspondence internally is mainly in English

- You will have frequent contact with the clients in your implementation projects, various departments (CLT teams, back office teams) within ING and external relations
- This role is particularly suited for team players with organizational skills, commercial focus, eye for detail and a can-do attitude
- As primary contact for the client during implementation phases, you will be part of the deal team
- You will contribute to RFP’s from an implementation point of view
- You will be responsible for operating under our KYC guidelines
Your profile
You have a strong client focus and drive for quality and standardization in a client centric culture. You are able to see synergies and think out-of-the-box. You ‘make it happen’ and deliver on promise. As a person you are someone who stays on top of developments, acts rather than reacts, communicates in an open and transparent way and you are someone who can deal with cultural differences. Your collaboration skills are excellent. You have a proven track record of successful implementations of complex, multi-product deal for major corporate/public sector clients.
- You are certified in Project Management skills or interested to get certified
- You obtained a minimum of 5 years of the Transaction Services products, Services Industries and processes
- Your level of education is Bachelor +
- You are familiar with developments within the treasury area of corporate clients such as centralization, treasury management systems, bank integrations etc.
- Your English is fluent, other EMEA languages are beneficial
- You are client focused
- You have a getting things done mentality
- You are able to manage internal and external stakeholders at different levels such as treasury executives, employees in shared service centers, finance managers, managers at third party vendors etc.
- You have a proved track record in managing international projects
- You get energy of translating complexity into easy to grasp, clear milestones and structure
- You have experience with client’s accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- You have the ability to use different communication skills depending on the situation
- Lead meetings and coordinate activities of the cross-organizational implementation teams
- Lead testing and solution validation efforts to ensure the solution meets the client’s expectations and is line with contractual obligations and agreements.
- Ensure effective transition from project to production
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to initiatives to implement process enhancement.
- You are flexible and able to coop with stressful situations
- You are willing to learn every day in a continuous changing global environment with high expectations from clients
- Flexibility is required in order to get things done. You do not just give up when challenges arise or ask someone to help you
- You are an effective team player, get things done and possess analytical skills with good sense for details
