
Compliance Innovation Consultant

The opportunity
ING Group Compliance is looking to hire a Compliance Innovation Consultantto strengthen its Compliance Innovation Team.
As Compliance Innovation Consultant you engage with business stakeholders to identify business needs and improvement possibilities, based on which you start and guide innovative projects in the Compliance domain. You are a 'spider in the web’, communicating with stakeholders across the globe and from various departments across ING (e.g. Neo, COO RF, Tech, Architecture) to drive forward the projects under your guidance.
You are responsible for maintaining the tooling landscape for the global Compliance organisation, spot gaps with the Target Operating Model and are involved in identifying solutions to bridge these gaps. Furthermore you perform regulatory reporting on this tooling landscape, ensuring good visibility of current status and roadmap to CAS and regulatory bodies.
Roles and responsibilities
The role focuses on the provision of tooling solutions for Compliance users across the globe, including regulatory reporting on this topic, and on Innovation possibilities for the Compliance function. The latter focuses on the discovery and, upon buy-in of relevant stakeholders, the implementation of FinTech and RegTech solutions to transform compliance and build trust.
As Compliance Innovation consultant you are responsible for:

Creating and maintaining the tooling landscape for the Compliance function across the globe (global and local)

Reporting on the tooling landscape to the relevant internal and external parties

Collecting and managing innovation demand within Compliance and throughout the organisation

Managing and facilitating the execution of innovative initiatives with the relevant stakeholders to create meaningful impact

Pro-actively spotting of cross-fertilisation opportunities between business lines
The Team

The Compliance Innovation team is part of Group Compliance (based in Amsterdam) (2nd LoD) and sits in the Framework, Reporting and Innovation department

The Compliance Innovation team members have a ‘can-do’ mentality and strive to get things done; all members have their distinct areas of expertise and responsibility

The Innovation team is working with key internal stakeholders throughout the bank (1st, 2nd and 3rd LOD) from demand and supply side, as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers, vendors, consultancies, regulators and supervisory institutions

You have proven Change Management and Consultancy skills with the ability to successfully manage different stakeholders

You can participate and structure innovative initiatives within agile communities across ING incorporating Legal, Finance, Risk, Operations, Tech, Architecture, WB, RB and Compliance

You have excellent communications skills, you can communicate effectively across different levels of the organisation

You ensure stakeholder needs are established in the delivery of innovative initiatives

You have good knowledge of the Regulatory landscape within Financial Services to challenge the status quo

You adhere to the ING values and it is evident for you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values. You are also prepared to take the Banker's Oath.
Qualification/Education

Masters or Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Minimum of 3 years of Compliance, Risk and/or Innovation experience

Demonstrated change management experience

Hands-on mentality, you take it on and make it happen

Excellent communication skills

Excellent command of the English language
Desirable:

Previous experience with regulations or regulatory bodies

Strong track record of overseeing successful deliverables within agreed timelines

Experience or direct involvement with enterprise architecture, systems, integration and business regulatory change implementation
