As a First Line Risk Officer within Human Resources, you will be working on managing all risks to ensure that ING's activities are in line with regulatory and internal requirements. The focus of HR is on guaranteeing the smooth and controlled salary processing (subject to Sox-requirements), Pre-Employment Screening and safeguarding the privacy of employee data. The opportunity
The HR Risk team resides within the People Services domain which supports all entities of ING NL. You will hierarchically report to the Head of Risk, IT & Local Data. The HR Risk team, you and 2 other experienced risk managers, have the responsibility for managing all Operational, Compliance and IT risks within the HR NL department.
Your main responsibilities:

Enhance Raise risk awareness within the HR department

Facilitate Risk assessments (like PARPs and Business Impact Assessment)

Key Control Testing
-
Incident Management (including data breach reporting)

Issue Management (Follow-up on open risk issues and working on closure)

Connection with other risk departments
-
Guiding audits and SOX-controls
-
Managing IT risks on HR assets
You work closely together with:

All other HR departments, creating awareness on all policies and procedures the department must adhere to and making sure all new initiatives are assessed properly.

HR (senior) leadership

In- and external suppliers
Being part of a small team that applies an Agile mind-set, you will also be involved in continuous efforts to improve the way of working, for example on the area of risk assessments, and creating awareness within the rest of HR.
Your work environment
You will be operating in a challenging environment with multiple stakeholders (HR leadership, ORM, IRM, Compliance, CIRM, CAS, Global HR, Corporate Tax, External Auditors, …).
How to succeed
You are experienced in the area of Non-Financial Risk, Risk Monitoring, as well as knowledge on Financial Reporting requirements (including SOx). You have a good understanding of (ING’s) NFR Framework and related Procedures and Policies.
Knowledge and experience in the area of sourcing and third party risk management is a plus.

Experience as NFR Officer with at least 5 years in risk areas that are relevant for Operational Risk Management

Knowledge of Process Management (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma)

Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment
