The opportunity

We are looking for a Director Capital Structuring & Advisory MidCorporates (CS&A MC) at ING Business Banking NL.

As Director CS&A MC you act as originator and trusted advisor in capital structure transactions. The team collaborates with Client Service Teams in the regions and focuses on financing solutions in the range of €50 - €200m. You are responsible to originate and realise the best deal for our Dutch MidCorporate clients and prospects. You are able to put ING on pole position and compete with other debt advisory parties. Together with the client you determine the optimal capital structure and coordinate with all relevant parties in order to close the deal. This means that you have excellent knowledge of all banking products, but are also on top of what other finance parties have to offer in the Netherlands. Within ING you will be working closely with (Structured) Lending, Lease, Commercial Finance and Wholesale, whereas outside ING you can expect involvement of other banks, finance parties and advisors. You are ambassador of ING Business Banking and contribute to our network and commercial activities. Last but not least, you are responsible for positioning and developing of the team as well as coaching junior team members. This means a lot of variety in your tasks.

Your work environment

As Director Capital Structuring & Advisory you are managing a team of 3-4 specialists located in Amsterdam. CS&A MC team operates within ING Business Banking NL and is part of Structured Lending. You will report to the Lead Structured Lending.

We are looking for: an expert in complex financing structures with excellent social and negotiation skills

• You have relevant experience of minimal 8 years
• You are entrepreneurial and are able to identify commercial opportunities in an early stage
• You are seen as trusted advisor and clients will involve you in important events or decisions
• You have a broad and profound knowledge of all banking products/services and have good insights in alternative funding solutions. Based on your knowledge you advise the client on the most optimal solutions that suits their requirements (formal advisory role)
• You master complex financial analysis and modelling skills. Furthermore, you have experience in drafting term sheets and complex documentation (LMA);
• Your personality and (commercial) skills enable you to make an impact at various levels with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders in order to get the deal done
• You are a team player and dedicated to develop and coach your junior team members
• You have an extensive network and will contribute to social responsibility of ING
• Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
