We have an exciting position vacant for an Analyst to support Relationship Managers in providing creative solutions to clients in the Financial sector.
The Financial Institutions (FI) Netherlands & Nordic team in Amsterdam covers the following sub-sectors: (i) Dutch Insurers and Pension Funds, (ii) Dutch Banks, (iii) Dutch Trust offices, (iv) Nordic Banks, (v) Israeli and Northern-African Banks, and (vi) European subsidiaries of Asian, Turkish and Russian Banks. As Analyst you will be working with the Relationship Mangers on multiple projects at a time.
You will be working in a dynamic client-facing team of highly dedicated professionals which are part of the FI sector organisation with teams located in Amsterdam and other international financial centres. ING is one of the leading banks in the Financial sector in the various regions and it is our firm ambition to further expand our market position.
The position involves regular contact with clients, as well as frequent cooperation with ING business lines such as FI Advisory, Global Capital Markets, Financial Markets, FI Lending, Transaction Services, Compliance and KYC departments.
Your key responsibilities:
You support the Relationship Managers in managing the client relationship

You prepare commercial pitches / proposals together with the Relationship Manager

You prepare briefing memos and advice for client meetings

You support the FI Lending team in the preparation of greenlight proposals and credit packs
-
You accompany the Relationship Manager in client meetings if so required
-
You help maintain client contacts and ensure necessary follow up
-
You build an internal network that helps you developing ING’s business with its clients
-
You assist in the origination for products from all ING business lines
-
You liaise with product specialists and foreign ING offices
-
You represent the FI sector in business related projects
-
You care about data quality & act in line with compliance
-
You assist in performing Customer Due Diligence and related compliance processes in support of the Relationship Manager

You coordinate the compliance processes with the CDD specialists and the interns in the team
-
You keep various customer data information systems / tools up-to-dat
-
You analyze and monitor data on several levels

You develop a profound understanding of the Financial sector

You monitor client profitability and the realization of our team objectives
-
You perform analyses on (strategic) clients, sector research and peer analysis
-
You assist in identifying critical business issues and potential new business opportunities

You are responsible for collecting (strategic) client and sector information and analyzing this information in order to detect new sales opportunities

You monitor information- and news services and inform the Relationship Manager about client and sector developments

A master degree in finance, business or engineering
