Program Manager DAP

As a Program Manager you will take responsibility in being the linking pin between the Data Analytics Platform and the large programs that run on top of it. You facilitate the collaboration and communication between the platform and the respective programs.

You will work with the larger organization, engage tech teams and stakeholders across many countries with regards to the Data Analytics Platform and be part of a the full-fledged product team of DAP consisting of over 35 people.

A day in the life of a program manager of DAP

As program manager for the Data Analytics Platform, you’re the person who’s on top of everything, you know exactly what the latest promises are we made as a platform and what the status is of delivering on those promises, everyone is looking to you to see if we can make the tight deadlines…

That’s why you wake up to go to work. After your morning coffee you sync up with the Product Manager and the Platform Lead of DAP to get the latest on what our major stakeholders are expecting of us, you quickly point out that we can actually meet these expectations, because the align perfectly with another major program we’re running, if we just tweak a few small things.. After that you head to a meeting with the Product Owner and the Tech lead of one of the engineering squads to get the latest on the progress on the download portal, so you can fill in one of the programs later that week on the status of their big blocker on starting to use the platform. After lunch you sit down with your contact at the Tech Infra department to ask them a detailed update on the delivery of both the new hardware and the networking, as this is threatening the delivery of a promise to our biggest program.. The rest of your afternoon you spend by working together with the Enterprise Architect and the Product Manager on how to best align the three biggest programs, that we can best capture the power of a platform towards them. You keep being amazed by the excellent people around you…

What department?

The Data Analytics Platform team is a team of 35 people that has the mission to make Data Analytics available and accessible to 50% of all people who work at ING worldwide. We do this by combining open source technologies with our own custom implementations to create the fastest, most innovative and secure Analytics Platform. You’ll be part of a cross functional team, with engineers, product manager, UXers and more. We work in a fun and creative environment and we’re dedicated to bringing out the best in both each other and our projects.

• You’ll work with a wide variety of programs that build on top of DAP, some having business cases of hunderes of miliions of euros, accross all the different domains a bank is active in
• You have a drive to always put the customer first, help them achieve their goals, while being realistic and challenging when need be
• Work with the tech teams and business side of DAP accross multiple countries
• Thrive in a team where knowledge sharing and wanting to be the best in your field are key;

Do you recognize yourself in this profile:

• Experience with complex stakeholder management
• Excellent written and spoken skill in the English language
• Experience in alinging roadmaps of large inniatives
• Skills in collecting key requirements accross a wide variety of type of stakeholders
• Experience in writing reports for C-level
• You are comfortable working in in an international context, within virtual teams and can interact easily with international stakeholders;
• You are “MVP” (Minimal Valuable Product) driven, making continuous impact in a complex environment.
