
Media Expert/Media Manager
The opportunity
For our Media, Planning and Research Team, we are looking for a Digital Media Expert. In this role you will oversee the digital paid media buying within the Dutch market. Based on the right audience and creative, you constantly work on maximizing brand and business impact, in close cooperation with ING’s media, research and creative agencies. Next to strategic and creative thinking, this role also requires a strong understanding of how (digital) marketing works in practice, as well as a good know-how of Ad-Tech and Martech landscape.
The team
The Digital Media Expert will be part of our Media, Planning & Research team, within our Communications & Brand Experience Centre of Expertise (CoE).
The purpose of the Media Planning & Research team is to help realize INGs ambitious brand & marketing objectives by giving direction in clear integrated data driven campaign calendar, based on extensive research. The team has a strong focus on effectiveness and performance in the execution of these campaigns. The team collaborates closely with the Advertising, Brand Experience, Sponsoring & Events, Content and Media Relations expertise teams within the CoE. But is also an important business partner for our Tribes in the realization of their business targets and marketing objectives.
Role and responsibilities
Following the role description, the key responsibilities include:
• Support and build an experimentation agenda that can improve our digital maturity and drive effectiveness and efficiency
• You will be responsible for data & insights driven digital media strategy, planning & buying and will constantly challenge our agencies
• Translate strategic audiences into customer segments which can be activated across (digital) media channels and/or platforms
• Full Funnel Modelling
• Collaborate with colleagues in the CoE, Digital Sales teams, e-commerce specialists and our Market Research Specialist on key projects
How to succeed
An energetic and collaborative expert, displaying the following skills and behaviour:

Bachelor or Master degree in marketing or other relevant degree

5 years of relevant professional experience

Data driven attitude: true data curiosity and the ability to derive new insights

Strong multitasking, accuracy and prioritizing skills in fast paced environment

Creative approach to problem solving; always looking for improvements

Proven experience of developing and implementing full funnel marketing and a successful track record to deliver on ROAS

Ability (or clear willingness) to work with Adobe suite, PowerBI, Socials, Google Marketing Platform

Extensive knowledge of the Dutch media & publisher landscape

Track Record in handling large accounts & multi-device cross digital channel campaigns

Understanding of technical implications of measurement methodologies for campaign trafficking and set-up

You are curious by nature, challenge assumptions, and make sure you understand the real business challenge before jumping into solutions

You have a can-do mindset, take ownership and responsibilities and enjoy working with a diverse team of people.

Excellent communication skills and able to present complicated concepts to stakeholders in a synthetic way. Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment.

Able to work as strategic business partner/consultant and as a part of an agile team.

Excellent proficiency of Dutch and English language, in speech and writing
