ABN AMRO Clearing has a global focus and is divided into three regional organizations: Region Europe, Region USA and Region Asia-Pacific.

Region Europe consist of the offices in Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt and Sao Paulo. The European Management team is tasked with implementing the global strategy in the region, including the enhancement of the competitiveness of the regional service offering and ensuring full compliance with the relevant rules and regulations.

The position, Business Continuity and Management Control officer is created to safeguard 1LOD responsibility for Business Continuity Management as well as providing support activities in relation to the execution of risk control processes.

Your job

The Business Continuity and Management Control officer provides professional support to the Regional CEO in order to facilitate meeting the strategic objectives of AAC in Europe. Focus of the role lies in managing the first line Business Continuity Management tasks as well as organizational and strategic support, including management control (audit, risk, compliance). This includes maintaining dashboards to provide adequate management information to ultimately increase control and creating overview and insight.

The role has contacts with a great variety of internal stakeholders, including the Regional Management team. The individual will also work with global colleagues to align strategic objectives, reporting and sharing of information globally. The role is required to act independently and decide on when to escalate matters to the relevant MT member.

You will:
• Support the Regional CEO and departmental management in the implementation and maintenance of business continuity management system (BCMS) within AAC
• Be in close interaction with colleagues in Risk Management who oversee the implementation of the BCMS framework.
• Be responsible for Incident Reporting & Tracking, Risk Self Assessment, risk mitigation action tracking, Internal Audit processes
• Assist department managers by preparing management reports, issuing periodic reminders, coordinating discussions, and escalating concerns and challenges to the Regional CEO
• Coordinate the drafting of Quarterly Business Reviews and staff update sessions
• Responsible for creating dashboards for the CEO and management team
• Involved in ad hoc firm strategic projects

Your profile

Knowledge:

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft suite
• Experience with Tableau
• General product knowledge of Futures, Equities, ETFs and Fixed Income
• Good understanding of rules and regulations applicable to financial markets
