ING is looking for a motivated IT Engineer in the area of Credit Risk. The DevOps team develops and supports internal web application for ING and many customers

We are looking for a passionate IT Engineer who is skilled to solve technical problems regarding support (stability, capacity, and performance) of the system.

Your work environment

You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment of the IT organization of ING Credit Risk. We operate according to a Scrum Agile development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to deliver IT solutions.

The DevOps team consists of 6-8 people of while the Platform team is of size 5 people.

The Platform team you will be part of is responsible for 3 applications.

Job Description ( Tasks and Responsibilities)

As a DevOps engineer you are responsible for all the IT aspects primarily : maintenance and support.

General tasks:

  • Supporting the applications including incident management, monitoring using current mature tooling & scripting, IT risk management, proactive capacity management and security.

  • Deliver excellent service to big projects within ING by participation in (user acceptance and integration) testing and migrations.

  • Improving the automation of our IT processes, e.g. Implementing Operations infra work via Azure DevOps pipelines and helping us get to the next level of maturity with respect to Continuous Delivery.

  • Vendor management for OutSystems

Specific tasks

  • Setting up of new environment (front-end, back-end, database) for OutSystems application hosting in Windows server 2016 and database using Oracle in private cloud

  • Monthly Availability report, Daily health check, interface configuration of the application, daily incident management

  • Maintenance, patching, planned out of office work for patching & upgrades during maintenance window

  • ING process management : External connection setup(RCEC), IT security and evidencing for external audits

  • Automate and improve daily work with an SRE mindset

Profile (desired skills & experience)

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.

  • 2-4 years of software support experience

  • You love technology and naturally stay up-to-date on relevant new developments.

  • Being able to translate complex business problems into technical solutions.

  • You are able to develop efficient and maintainable code.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge & about low code platform : OutSystems

  • Professional Platform Ops Engineer certified

  • monitoring tooling experience using ELK / SquaredUp / Prometheus

  • Understanding of Credit Risk concepts

Technical skills

At a minimum the following is required:

  • Good knowledge of Windows server 2016

  • Good knowledge of Oracle

  • Continuous delivery tooling like Azure DevOps

  • Knowledge of powershell and usage for scripting daily tasks using powershell

  • General knowledge of Oracle (PL/SQL), OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), monitoring of Infrastructure stack

  • General knowledge of middleware technologies, MQ, file transfer

  • IT Risk management
