What you’ll be working on

Working on innovation of one of ING’s key priorities gives you the opportunity to work on an initiative that can make a real change and have an impact on the future of the bank and financial industry. You will contribute to our Know Your Customer (KYC) venture, Blacksmith, that is currently validating its commercial viability in the market. You will be part of a dynamic international team that sets itself apart from the competition using fast learning cycles, radical thinking, experimentation and countless energy.

You will support the core team of the venture through the operational team in Amsterdam by identifying, documenting and responding to the different risks of the initiative like: delivery, IT, operational, financial and contractual risks. You will lead risk assessments and security scans, be the SPOC for first line of defence (LOD) and second LOD. Together with the operational team in Amsterdam and the product team in Singapore you proactively manage the entire risk process, from identification to risk management and mitigation. You ensure that the number of non-financial risks remains within the ING risk appetite and that risks are controlled in a transparent manner.

Together with the sales team you will participate in the sales funnel to define the risk related requirements of the purchasing party and respond to them in a professional way. You will follow up on the contracting with Legal departments, the initiative partners and customers, to make sure the contracts are delivered on time and signed in a correct way.

As a professional with a hands-on mentality you are pro-active and a “doer” that gets things done.

The team uses ING’s innovation methodology PACE, which builds on Lean Startup, Service Design and Agile Scrum. The program is structured around well-defined stages of progress and modelled on real-world startup stages.

About you

We are looking for people with inexhaustible drive, entrepreneurial spirit and distinctive expertise. Your unique skills will complement the core team:

· You have a HBO or Academic level

· You have at least 2 to 3 year of experience, preferably in a risk management-, audit- or compliance environment within the financial industry

· You have experience is B2B sales or purchasing processes like RFI, RFQ and RFP

· You can communicate in an easy language and can create easy to read risk reports

· You have a learning agility and innovative and entrepreneurial mind set

· You are a detailed and organized person who can manage risk assessment as projects

· You maintain a high level of initiative and think out of the box. Ideas are great, but execution is king.

· You are an independent, proactive and strong team player. You seek guidance when needed, are open to feedback and you challenge your colleagues.

· You embrace change. You are resilient and able to fail, learn and bounce back.

· You are an enthusiastic colleague who is willing to help others succeed and you always think one step ahead

· You speak and write fluent in English

· You will work and act in accordance with ING’s Orange Code
