Analyst Transaction & Regulatory (KYC Outreach)

We have an exciting position vacant for an Analyst role in the Transaction & Regulatory (“T&R”) team within the Telecom, Media and Technology & Healthcare (“TMT&H”) Sector Coverage team. The TMT&H sector team is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financing solutions to telecommunication, media, entertainment, technology, satellite and healthcare companies in the EMEA region, the Americas and in Asia-Pacific.

In the rapid changing banking landscape, the T&R team acts alongside Parent Account Managers (“PAMs”) and/or Deal Principals (“DPs”) in providing transactional and regulatory support, with a focus on Know Your Customer (“KYC”). You will be working in a dynamic, diverse and international orientated team of dedicated TMT&H professionals located in Amsterdam. T&R is a relatively new function in the team and you will play a key role in the development and implementation.

Your role and work environment

  • You work closely with Front Office (“FO”) , Clients and KYC Processing Unit, supporting KYC execution in accordance with ING compliance policies and procedures,
  • You will ensure quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements for both new and existing clients,
  • You liaise with other departments with respect to policies and compliance (Risk, Compliance, KYC, etc.) and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis (FO, compliance, client administration, clients, etc.),
  • Ensure KYC is performed in line with regulatory and internal ING requirements,
  • Understand and confidently communicate the KYC requirements to internal and external stakeholders and manage follow-ups,
  • Support clients on KYC initiatives of the bank and general KYC/AML requirements,
  • Collect, maintain and archive accurate KYC documentation in a structured manner,
  • Validate provided documentation for reasonableness and completeness,
  • Ensure high quality customer experience,
  • Monitoring and supervision of KYC control environment

Required experience:

  • Previous experience of working in KYC/AML in a client facing environment,
  • Preferable; Knowledge of regulatory / lending policies / KYC,

Required skills and behaviour:

  • Analytical person with ability to recognize important information and identify risks,
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail,
  • Ability to deliver to a high standard under pressure and short deadlines,
  • Hands on mentality and not afraid to pick up the phone,
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high number of priorities,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in relation to client outreach,
  • Ability to create an (internal) network and manage multiple stakeholders,
  • Good knowledge of MS office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint),
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
