Chapter Lead – Financial Markets Cash & Liquidity Management

ING is looking for an experienced Chapter Lead with technical & people skills. You are technically passionate and have a background in Cash & Liquidity Management. You are a team player working with end-to-end responsibility for our C&LM Solution which manages ING’s global liquidity obligations; Cash and liquidity forecasting, and In- & External regulatory requirements including financial risk reporting;

This solution is supported by 2 squads cooperating from 2 locations, Amsterdam and Bucharest.

Your key responsibilities

  • You contribute to the vision in your area in a positive manner and introduce and nurture innovation within it.
  • As the hierarchical leader of the members of your Chapter you:
    • ensure the Chapter members have appropriate competencies and skills by continuous improvement of their skills and the C&LM family as a whole
    • determine the way of working in your Chapter and implement the use of standards of within the C&LM family together with your Chapter members
    • plan / coach / assess and professionalize your Chapter members
    • are responsible for the yearly appraisals of the internal Chapter members
    • perform HR-related activities of the Chapter members
  • You are a regular squad member for 60% of your time and apply your specific C&LM expertise to your squad’s backlog.

Your education and background

  • Professional and intellectual IT ability at university level - at least Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of software engineering and development experience including design and automation
  • Strong analytical skills, proactivity and ability to work in cross-border international teams
  • Group Treasury Function Experience and working with various departments – Liquidity, Front Office, Back Office, Payments etc.
  • Hands-on experience of configuration / requirement gathering and working with stakeholders
  • Technical / functional knowledge and experience of working with various Treasury Liquidity applications - Front Office (Murex – financial risk and FO) and Back Office (Calypso back office)
  • Experience with technology used:
    • Calypso v16, Java 1.8+, Spring, JMX
    • JBOSS Application Server, RedHat Linux, Oracle
    • Experience with XML, XSL, XSD used for MX messages, replacements of MT messages
    • Experience in working with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavioral-Driven Development (BDD) (Concordion and Cucumber)
    • Experience working on CI/CD tools – TFS, GitLab, Maven, AzureDevOps, Ansible
    • Citrix, MQ, XFB, Grafana, Graphite
    • Agile Methodology, SNOW, Confluence
  • People management experience
  • Working experience in multi-cultural teams
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English
