As the Business Development Lead of CoorpID you are responsible for the   Business Development (“BD”) team. Your team focusses on all activities leading towards a client base with critical mass . With clients, we mean both KYC Regulated Entit ies such as a bank, but also large or medium sized multinational s . The team works together intensively with the Customer Success team and the Scale-up Office team to set up sales activities for scale .

Main objectives

  • Develop go-to-market approach to realize increased scale continuously

  • Attract a C oorpID client base with critical mass for both corporate and KYC regulated entity clients

  • Build towards s ound commercial fundamentals (including a sustainable revenue stream)

Role and responsibilities 

  • As a Business Development lead, you will take responsibility for all activities leading towards a client base with critical mass , and are responsible for all commercial efforts

  • You are part of CoorpID’s management team; in which you formulate the CoorpID vision and strategy together with the other team leads.

  • With help of the Scale-up office an d in discussion with the CoorpID management team, you will formulate the commercial roll-out plan and determine CoorpID sales targets . This includes a clear view (shared within the broader organization) on realizing scalable growth both in number of clients as well as in generating revenue

  • The CoorpID BD team is active in both direct - sales efforts as well as setting up indirect sales channels. It is the responsibility of the Business Development lead, together with the team, to continuously develop and execute upon the existing go-to-market strateg ies to realize further scale and realize the ambitious tar gets

  • As Business Development lead you are responsible to originate and negotiate ( commercial ) agreem ents with a.o. KYC regulated Entities and distribution partners

  • Furthermore, the B D team supports continuous improve ments of scalable onboarding and servicing capabilities together with the Customer Success team.

  • Also, the BD team supports the efforts of the Product Development team for continuous product improvements required to capture client value and new client segments

  • Your role is to create a high performance and scalable team: run the team day-to-day , set priorities, delegate tasks but also attract new talent .

  • And m uch more than that, within a scale-up, your day-to-day activities can vary along with the latest developments. In the past the BD team has looked at, contracting, CRM tools, marketing and events, optimization of the feedback loop and much more... all towards a CoorpID shared goal for sustainable and scalable growth !

Whom we are looking for

  • You have previous experience within  client facing role towards corporate and/or KYC regulated entity clients, ideally from within a bank

  • You understand the challenges that are present in

  • You have experience in formulating and executing upon a go-to-market approach (designed for scale)

  • Experience / knowledge and track record of rolling out a SAAS solution in B2B is a pr e

  • You have managerial experience; you have experience in leading a team and coaching individuals to get the best out of themselves  

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset thriving in a rapidly changing environment . You’re able to sell even when dealing with se tbacks, delays, limitations, MVP level features

  • You are focused on collaboration: you set aside your own 'ego' in the interests of achieving the best results – you help others in the team to have success  

  • You have ample energy and a re driven to challenge and motivate your colleagues to stay “on the ball”  

  • Digital native / tech savvy

Reporting lines and Job conditions

  • This role reports to the Initiative Lead of CoorpID. CoorpID , is part of ING Neo and reports to the Value Space Lead of Safe & Compliant Banking  

  • Job evaluations, promotions, hiring and firing is applied according to the governance manual of ING  

  • This management position is classified as job level 12-13  

  • An ING contract or, i f you are already a member of the ING family, an STA or LTA are possible

CoorpID is a Regtech / Fintech company that focusses on KYC sharing optimization between banks and large corporations. CoorpID serves an international market currently expanding its business across six European countries in the coming two years. CoorpID was founded only two years ago in ING Labs, ING’s internal incubator/accelerator department for innovative and disruptive ideas. As CoorpID’s proposition became a proven success, ING’s Management Board of Banking decided to further invest in the company in order for it to set sail across multiple banks and corporations.
