The Expertise Team Financial Markets has a global mandate within ING Wholesale Banking - an organization employing 11,000 people in 40 countries. This is a consultancy role within the ING Expertise Team Financial Markets. The team works fully Agile and provides end2end global process/service expertise for the Financial Markets domain worldwide and drive implementation of process improvements, changes and controls. Focus is on Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Derivatives and Capital Markets. The team is the global service and process owner toward the business partners around the globe and responsible for monitoring the delivered service.

To increase our Expertise Team we are looking for a Business Consultant with a strong affinity for Data Analysis.

Job description

On a day-to-day basis, you will be:

  • Act as an internal project manager (e.g. operational and regulatory driven projects)
  • Independently deliver consultancy advice / reports
  • Identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Generating, analyzing and presenting relevant insights and improvement potential which enables the Expertise Team to initiate and deliver the right improvement projects that create impact
  • Communicating these recommendations to the stakeholders using both analytical and business jargon when appropriate
  • Contributing to maintaining and improving the fact based culture within ING

Your profile

Besides the qualities that are described in the Orange Code, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Management, or alike, and/or equivalent experience of 1 to 3 years within consultancy, data reporting, or business analysis;
  • Strong affinity with Data
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • You are currently working as a Business Consultant or Business Analyst;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Proven ability to engage in deep conversations with customers and other stakeholders, outside and inside ING, to frame and simplify problems and guide towards a solution
  • Self-starter with ability to take responsibility, to work on own initiative, and to bring positive change.
  • You have strong analytical skills and get energy of translating complexity into a clear vision and structure, always looking for ways to improve the status quo;
  • You are easy to work with, have excellent organizational, communication and sensitivity skills, and have a drive to work in a bank-wide, international environment;
  • You have strong influencing skills and a result-driven/ persistent and can-do mentality
  • Strong affinity with agile way of working
