During our programme you will gain hands-on experience across your rotations, where you are an integral part of a team to help deliver solutions for ING’s trusted clients.
The opportunity
The ING Financial Markets Graduate Programme provides young talent the opportunity to learn more about ING’s Financial Markets Sales and Trading operations. The aim of this programme is to upskill talent and prepare you for future roles in our organisation. During the programme you will get hands-on experience of what is involved in the day-to-day role as a sales or trader on the desk.
The total duration of the programme is 12 months. During the first 10 days you will receive, together with the other graduates, initial trainings to introduce you to ING, Financial Markets and the regulatory, legal and compliance components of our job. After 10 days of introduction, you will start your first rotation within Financial Markets Sales or Trading. In total you will do (at least) 1 or 2 rotations. One of our senior members of each rotation will be your designated mentor, who will not only guide you during day-to-day tasks but will also coach you personally.
Our Teams
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services, and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Within Financial Markets our business runs across both Sales and Trading. The programme offers you the possibility to rotate across our franchise, across different teams.
What is Financial Market Sales?
Global Sales provides both flow and highly bespoke financial solutions to clients. The Global Sales organization is structured to reflect the differing needs of our client portfolio. The Corporate team services the corporate Wholesale Banking clients in 6 sectors and the Retail and Mid-Corporate clients from the Domestic Banks across Europe.

What is Financial Markets Trading?
Financial Markets Trading manages risk and covers flow for our client portfolio by interacting closely with the sales desk and other market participants. Trading manages portfolio risk out of new and existing and daily market risks, within the set risk parameters.
