Your job

Financial Institutions Coverage is looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our team and work together to continue offering the best services to our clients, the largest FI’s in the world (other banks, insurance companies, private equity firms, fintech’s and any other FI imageable).

Your tasks include:

• You are the spider in the web, working in a team of Financial Institutions Bankers.
• You will help prepare the strategic dialogue with the client's senior management, and translate their needs into a profitable delivery of ABN AMRO products and services.
• You will be involved in the onboarding, reviews and risk assessment of our clients.
• Together with Senior Bankers, you develop an account plan with goals for further relationship development.
• You will also contribute to the visibility of FI by sharing your knowledge within the broad Customer Support Teams, building a network within ABN AMRO and in a few cases also with our clients.

Your working environment

Financial Institutions (FI) is one of the Global Sectors within ABN AMRO Corporate & Institutional Clients (CIC). Our clients are extremely diverse and dynamic: Banks, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, Asset Managers and Fintechs. Our team is responsible for the relationship with a portfolio of FI clients from all over the world. The team’s focus is on long term relationships, but also in the translation of the needs and ambitions of our clients into profitable products. With us you’ll have the opportunity to get in contact with these products (teams) that we as a (corporate) bank offer to our clients ranging from lending, mergers & acquisitions, payment-services and the capital markets. Proper understanding of the operating environment of our clients is the basis of your future success.

Your profile

• You are a WO / Msc Student.
• Your study covers Finance, Economics
• You can start August 15 or September 1st onwards.
• You are available for 6 months on a full-time basis.
• You are fluent working with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
• Analytical at heart: Your analytical skills are good enough to identify, deconstruct, and potentially solve problems.
• Proactive, communicative and independent: You take initiatives to solve issues and are not shy to ask for assistance.
• Team-player: You can easily reach and collaborate with colleagues, either helping them out or requesting some assistance.
