ING is looking for...

A pro-active and branding passionate intern who wants to join our team, as soon as possible, for at least six months. The starting date can be discussed (we are flexible). As an intern, you will be part of the Brand Engagement team and you will contribute to projects aimed at bringing the brand to life to both internal and external audiences around the world.



Job description:

  • You will work and think along with the brand managers on projects to create awareness and engagement with ING’s brand among selected audiences (employees, clients, and other stakeholders);
  • Help guiding the global Think Forward strategy, as launched by our CEO in March 2014, for both internal and external audiences on a global level;
  • Help bringing the global Think Forward strategy to life by implementing and guiding several parts of the toolkit which creates enthusiasm amongst all employees worldwide;
  • Help initiating and building sponsor- and internal branding activities;
  • Help increasing brand preference and brand awareness of ING’s brand amongst an external audience together with the Brand Direction team;
  • Support in activating the Corporate sponsorships, e.g. the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra;
  • Participate in relevant internal and external meetings.


Your work environment:

The ING brand is a crucial business asset that helps drive strategy, innovation, customer choices, loyalty and advocacy.

You will be part of the Brand Engagement team within the Global Brand Management department. This is an international work environment. You will be working closely together with colleagues from different countries. The Global Brand Management department is part of Corporate Communications at ING’s head office, but you will also work closely together with HR, Sustainability, Marketing, Strategy and other departments at both corporate and local level. The team and department you work in are relatively new, so there is a lot that needs to be built, invented and created. This makes it an energetic and agile working environment.



Your profile

  • You are a Master student (preferably in the field of International Business, Marketing or Communication)
  • Available for 36 hours a week for a period of 6 months
  • Your English and Dutch are excellent, in both writing and speech
  • You are not hesitant to take on a project and have a pro-active attitude
  • You are a team player with good communication skills
  • You like to work in an agile and international environment
  • You combine both strong analytical skills and a hands-on mentality
