University work-along internship - Invisible Tickets

This is the opportunity to be part of something new within ING! We are working on a new digital ticketing service for public transport operators. It’s is the future of seamless travel which will enable public transportation companies to become closer to their customers offering additional services as well.

Your work environment

We are a hands-on international team and are based in the new Cumulus Park Studio nearby station Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena (due to Covid19 the team currently works from home). With our startup culture, you have a great degree of freedom in taking decisions and implementing new technologies.We are also expecting you to be flexible and work outside your job description. You do like to be part of innovative projects.

Your role

We’re looking for someone to support us with the development of our systems. Along side IT professionals, you will be working on the algorithm, the heart of our product. This algorithm decides if and which trip a user has made, and is able to distinguish different modalities (like train, tram, bus, feries). As we’re a small team, there will be also other APIs you could work on, making them smart, reliable and secure. Our infrastructure is hosted on Microsoft Azure and managed by us. We do mobile development as well, as Invisible Tickets will be available via an iOS and Android SDK. There are multiple tasks you will be working on, depending on your interest and background. You should be able to work independently but we will of course support you.

Your profile

  • Candidate should still be enrolled as a student at a University in The Netherlands on the date the work-along internship ends.
  • Ambitious personality with final stage of Bachelor or Master level education in IT / Computer Science related studies.
  • High level of self-motivation and professional approach
  • Energetic, positive mind set and can-do mentality
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong team player
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written
