Your job

As an Agri Commodities Clients intern you will assist account managers in their day-to-day activities, work on projects and conduct market research/industry analysis (coffee, cacao, sugar, dairy and cotton). You will build up comprehensive knowledge of international agri commodity traders and the market in which they operate.

Sustainability is an integral part of ABN AMRO's long-term strategy, and ECT puts responsible finance at heart of its business. Agri Commodities Clients (part of ECT) consists of 5 teams across the world (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, New York, Sao Paulo and Singapore). You will be part of the Agri Commodities Clients team in Amsterdam. This team is responsible for handling the relationships of existing clients and the acquisition of prospects,  international traders of coffee, cacao, sugar, dairy and cotton. As an enthusiastic and committed professional at ABN AMRO, you are continuously working on your own development. Your profile

You are an enthusiastic and flexible person with a pro-active working attitude. You have analytical skills combined with an eye for detail. You are a quick learner and good in multitasking. Further, you possess the ability to quickly understand complex transactions which fit the client’s needs while maintaining a modest risk profile for the Bank. You are available for a period of approximately 6 months, for 40 hours a week. You are serious about pursuing your career in the banking/international trade industry.•    University education with excellent grades (Master’s degree graduates or soon to be graduates);•    Relevant extracurricular activities demonstrating your interest in international trade;•    (Proven) affinity with finance and capital markets;•    Basic accounting knowledge;•    Strong communication skills in English (both writing and in speech);•    Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
