The Relationship Director is responsible for the expansion of the portfolio in the UK for a specific region namely the North covering Nottingham to the Scottish border, including Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle.

The job holder is responsible for the management of existing customers and the acquisition of new ones. The job holder is an expert in equipment leasing and responds to the different interests of stakeholders. The transactions vary between straight forward to more complex structures. Gains are achieved through cooperation with AAL NL (Risk Management, Asset Management Department, Service Centre) and the local ABN AMRO Bank.

The job holder is responsible and accountable for all aspects of Sales, Business Development and Client services, will oversee all channels to market and will respond to the different interests of stakeholders as and when required. The channel to market is direct as well as via a selected number of brokers/partners.





Your job

The key objective is sustainable growth of the Lease UK portfolio. This will be done in conjunction with the Commercial Director, Lease.The Relationship Director will be a member of the Sales team within Lease and is responsible for:


  • growing the regional portfolio on a direct basis as well as via brokers/partners, all within the Moderate Risk Profile of Lease.
  • the acquisition of new customers and transactions.
  • timely completion and submissions of credit proposals and reviews.
  • maintaining the relationship with all relevant stakeholders within Lease and ABN AMRO Bank.

    Your profile

    • 1st degree in BA / Finance / Economics, or a related discipline, MBA or Masters would be viewed positively.
    • Working experience in asset based lending, preferably Leasing
    • Proven financial industry working experience.
    • Extensive knowledge of leasing market and products and activities.
    • Strong experience in Leasing / ABF.
    • Excellent ability to generate leads. Has a strong established network.
    • Credibility and gravitas to represent Lease in a professional manner.
    • Highly motivated and ambitious.
    • Willingness to travel to the Netherlands to liaise with supporting departments.
    • Eagerness to learn and self-develop.
    • Ambition to grow.
    • Solution driven and can-do mentality.
    • Good/strong Risk knowledge.
