To digitally deliver this ING has entered into a Joint Venture with AXA. Together we will shape the market, building a scalable international platform that unifies multiple markets, creating one ecosystem of protection propositions and experiences across Life and Non-life products.

To inspire you for the road ahead – some of the challenges we face are:

  • Working agile – creating open workflows focused on impact and execution that drives customer satisfaction and commercial success
  • Translating our combined data into valuable business insights and international customer needs
  • Integrating the offer within Business Units and on-boarding new ING entities
  • Aligning with HO’s whilst retaining a ‘greenfield’ approach to market

Your role in the team:

To inspire efficient digital design and conduct training sessions to embed the squads harmoniously in day-to-day life of ‘fast moving’ digital teams. As an Agile coach you will provide guidance and support digital squads in the delivery of digital products at pace, ensuring customer value and is at the heart of all development. You will work across the ecosystem on a large range of propositions.

Your main responsibilities:

As agile coach you are responsible for:

  • As an Agile Coach your main goal will be to coach the Tribe Leadership and to coach the squads to become self-facilitating in the agile events. Introducing and continuously improving the way of working according to ING’s One Agile Way of Working
  • You introduce ING’s One Agile Way of Working for example through boot camps, workshops and on-the-job trainings
  • You coach the squads both as a group and as individuals on behaviour. Look at their maturity, help them to continuously improve themselves and grow towards high performing squads
  • You facilitate Agile events such as daily Stand Up, review, retrospective, refinement, planning and ensure continuous improvement in quality of these events
  • You ensure that the squads are aware of their responsibilities and most important Agile concepts, such as servant leadership, Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
  • You support squads in refining their purpose and translating this to feasible Epics, Features and User Stories
  • You support the Tribe Leadership to make use of their Obeya room more effectively
  • You facilitate close alignment and regularly contact moments between squads and at the same time coach the PO’s to take over such facilitating tasks
  • You coach squads and especially PO’s with building a regular dialogue with their customers
  • You help the squads to solve impediments or to place them on the right spot.

We are looking for:

Proven track record and technical skills:

  • You hold the requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
    • A Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline
    • 5+ years line management experience
    • Experienced in working with internal stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • You master Scrum or Kanban
  • You have proven ability as an Agile Coach for a fast paced, B2C digital organisation/project.
  • You are digitally native and hold the skill base to inspire creative squads to harmonize and keep the customer at the core of their development
  • You are able to depict layers of inefficiency and guide the teams to a ‘fast pace’ agile methodology, way or working
  • You can bring culture to ‘life’ in team dynamics and ways of working, constructively challenging and supporting teams as you go
  • You hold strong training capabilities and are equipped with multiple methodologies and tool kits to enable squads and the tribe to positively develop
  • You provide clear insights into teams dynamics, can identify top talent and guide the leadership team in next stage development
  • In a wider capacity, you are excited by entrepreneurship, driving change and exploring undefined/unstructured fields
  • You demonstrate creativity and initiative; always acting in a result orientated way and are able to drive structured & practical solutions within the wider, international group
  • You display cultural sensitivity in coordinating interactions between the different business units
  • You drive the energy from working within international team members and express high awareness of cultural differences;

Your work environment

You will be working in the central team of the joint venture - Symphony. You will work in close connection with an international network of experts and senior leaders in the Challengers & Growth Markets, and with other global Lead roles at Headquarters from both ING as well as AXA.

What we offer?

This position is a full time position. The role is graded at job scale 12. The work location is Paris, and regular travel to the Netherlands/Europe should be expected.
