ING´s innovation office is looking for an Non-Financial Risk Officer for a 6month contract

Innovation has always been part of ING’s culture, aiming at constantly reinventing the customer experience. However, today the world we are operating in is changing faster than ever before. Customer behaviour, regulation, fintechs and low rates put very sizeable parts of our business at risk. ING needs to reinvent itself to remain a sustainable business. Therefore we need to increasingly focus our innovation efforts on more disruptive opportunities, also outside of our current banking core.

This is how the ING Customer Experience Centre (ICEC) came to life.

Working within the Chief Innovation Office (CINO) the Non-Financial Risk Officer will be responsible for pro-actively creating awareness of all NFR related topics. Acting as the NFR expert for CINO, the responsibilities will include but not be limited to…

  • Coordinating the NFR requirements for the CINO Domain, including NFR reporting, implementing Key Controls testing and maintaining the NFR manual, RCSA, the implementation of new NFR policies and the tracking of open risk issues.
  • Closely align with 2nd (ORM, Compliance, IRM and CISO) and 3rd line of defence when applicable.
  • managing IT risk within CINO.
  • Applying an Innovation perspective, accelerating initiatives, to the NFR policies and application of these policies.

In order to be successful in this role you will have a background in the following:

  • 5 years in risk areas that are relevant for Operational Risk Management, Information Risk Management and Compliance.
  • Experience with the implementation of NFR Framework within business units and/or head office
  • Experience within ING and her systems is a plus
  • Professional and intellectual ability at academic or a comparable level.
  • Knowledge of financial services related business, processes, procedures and systems.
  • Consultancy and/or auditing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to be firm when needed and show flexibility when possible.
  • Good analytical skills and sound judgement.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You take responsibility to get the work done.
  • You continuously improve the way you work and actively ask for help and feedback and are not afraid to give feedback.
  • You easily adapt to a dynamic environment.
