Job description

As part of the Chief Transformation Office team you will be responsible for:

◾Document and assess C&G’s business strategies and goals, and respective key capability requirements
◾Define and manage the architectural aspects of ING’s transformation strategy in C&G, to support the delivery of ING’s platform and ecosystem target operating model and business processes.
◾Development, comparative assessment and maintenance of target operating models and requirements derived from ING’s and/or C&G’s transformation strategy
◾Modelling of required capability evolution (maturity frameworks) to achieve both ING’s platform strategy and C&G customer and country objectives, integrating business/ops/IT/risk
◾Granular alignment and optimisation of business / process / IT architectures required to support target operating models
◾Define customer-centric value streams (moments of truth) and related touch points between bank and customer
◾Develop roadmap for change required to change from current business operations to future state
◾Assess overlap, dependencies, impact and risk (business and technical) across business change initiatives
◾Support design, prioritisation and coordination of transformational change projects, within and across countries
◾Create and manage C&G design council and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team of business, process/operations, application, data and infrastructure professionals to define the architecture

ING Group's Challenger & Growth (C&G) business line serves 25m customers in 10+ countries, and comprises ca. half of ING's assets and profits. To enable the execution of the ThinkForward strategy within C&G countries, ING has set up a C&G Chief Transformation Office (CTO). The C&G CTO coordinates the design and deployment of ING’s global transformation across C&G countries, and supports the design and execution of C&G’s local strategies, optimising C&Gs change portfolio overall and balancing change roadmaps between functions and countries as required. The department works closely with ING’s Global Transformation Office (GTO), as well as all country executive teams, and representatives from all units and functions.

Moreover, the C&G CTO integrates the Chief Operation Officer (COO) function and as such is responsible for continuous optimisation of operational performance across all C&G operations, and for end-to-end cost efficiency across all C&G banks. The C&G CTO coordinates all local COOs and combined 6000+ staff in C&G countries.

The Chief Transformation Office, together with ING GTO, is responsible for:

•Design and execution of the bank-wide transformation strategy and target operating model, with focus on C&G countries
•C&G-wide optimization of global and local change programs and budget
•C&G-wide optimisation and coordination of global and country transformation roadmaps
•Portfolio monitoring, tracking and reporting within C&G, and transformation communication and engagement of all parties involved/impacted
The CTO coordinates all C&G COOs to achieve:

•Continuous evaluation and optimisation of C&G’s operational performance and capabilities to achieve operational excellence C&G-wide
•An integrated and optimised operational improvement roadmap within/across countries, leveraging best practice and global knowledge centres
•A powerful Operations brand and community, across C&G countries

Your profile

◾Combination of business domain knowledge, process experience, transformation management, methodology skills
◾Strong knowledge and experience of business architecture and enterprise architecture including development of Business Models and Target Operating models and roadmaps deployed on large scale global organizations
◾Strong background of understanding end to end lifecycle of financial products including product knowledge, process flows, IT systems, accounting and regulatory requirements
◾Experience in working with technology development teams during build and implementation phases of requirements.
◾Program management and/or Management Consulting experience - Preferably with a “big 5” firm
◾Solid awareness of controls and risk management protocols
◾Current knowledge of business, process improvement and IT trends and their impact on business strategies
◾Strong experience in business transformation implementation
◾Proven track record in financial services architecture
Wide-ranging process discipline skills in methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, and technology know-how

◾Bachelor degree or equivalent preferably in IT engineering and business/economics
◾Gravitas required for C-level communication
◾Excellent communication & presentation skills
◾Ability to clearly define and articulate business requirements
◾Strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high-level standard
