You and your job

Within the Rabobank we like to treat data as a product, to ensure that data is managed with the same care and professionalism as you would do with a customer product. As a Product Manager you actively engage with your (potential) users to identify opportunities and requirements. You define the value proposition, the product strategy and you prioritise the work for the Data Product Engineering (DevOps) team(s). Together with data engineers, analysts and architects you create products that enable Rabobank to derive value out of data for today’s and tomorrow’s use cases. Your experience with and vision of product management, data quality, data management, data solutions is key in realizing this ambition.

Top responsibilities

  • Ensure that the data is made available within the Global Data Platform and develop data products together with the DevOps teams.
  • Realize data products in such a way that they are easy to access and integrate with other data sets and that the data is trustworthy and reliable.
  • Ensure that the requirements of various stakeholders are prioritized, translated into solutions and into your product backlog in order for the data product to serve multiple Data & Analytics use cases and remain in line with the product vision.
  • Take the lead in strategic initiatives by setting up a clear Product vision & Roadmap and by presenting this to stakeholders.

In my role, I orchestrate different stages of data product development - from ideating with consumers to creating data products with our data engineers. Our team in Area Enterprise Data Products, part of the Tribe Data & Analytics Products and Transformation, currently consists of 10 enthusiastic Product Managers and Data Management specialists. The team is responsible for shaping and maintaining (customized) data and (customer) data foundations. Making trustworthy and reliable data available for the Financial Economic Crime department and Sustainability is currently the highest priority. We do this together with 10 IT DevOps teams (consisting mainly of business analysts, data engineers).

You and your talent

  • Strong analytical skills (Academic Technical or Management background)
  • At least 3+ years of work experience as Project Manager / Product Owner/ Team Lead in the field of Data & Analytics.
  • Knowledge & Experience in the field of Data management (Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Lifecycle Management, Data Engineering, Understanding of Cloud tech etc.)
  • Experience with establishing a product vision & roadmap to determine priorities and next steps (think first, act later).
  • Strong in stakeholder management and communication. Experience with communicating the vision, strategy and findings in presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to focus on the solution by continuously being in contact with stakeholders to determine their requirements, pro-actively seeking for ways to improve the solutions and by providing advice on possible solutions to stakeholders.

This is what we offer you

  • A salary in scale 9 (between €4292 - €6130 gross a month) or scale 10 (between €5115 - €7307) depending on your experience and based on 36-hours a week.
  • An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  • A personal development budget of € 1,400- paid out in January each year.
  • Hybrid working: we work 1 or 2 days a week from the office.
