You and your job


As a Chapter Lead Data CFO Reporting & BI&A you are the linking pin between the team of professionals and Tribes External Reporting and Business Intelligence & Analytics. You will be responsible for leading a team of data professionals who will address the data needs of the Tribes. You also will guide the Tribes and respective Areas in the usage of the data, validate new requirements of the business stakeholders and guide the (IT-) implementation of new initiatives. Critical in this role is to facilitate the areas to implement adequate data management that facilitates the current and future operations.

Chapter Data is an integral part of the CFO domain which is set up to ensure controlled data and to create future-proof stable data operations for Risk and Finance. As the chapter will work in all Tribes within Risk and Finance, you will cooperate with various stakeholders.


Practical examples

  • Coaching and mentoring: You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring your team members to ensure they have the skills and resources necessary to achieve the Chapter and Tribe goals.
  • Your work closely together with Area Lead and Product Owner on most effective allocation of the available knowledge and capabilities of resources.
  • The focus is on having readily available data in high quality and standardized formats, developing and embedding standards on how to generate, transform and leverage the potential of data and make sure we have control of the data flows.

  • You manage a team of approx. 15 data analysts where work on developing and maintaining a strong team culture that stimulates collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and challenge and support them on key topics of data management.
  • Delivering input for strategic direction setting & prioritization from a Chapter data perspective.

Chapter Data is a department of approximately 220 talented people from various parts of the world that manage and develop the financial data platform of Rabobank. You will tackle various data management related challenges.

Sub Chapter CFO Tribes, approximately 80 people, plays a crucial role in facilitating the data related questions within the CFO domain. Our primary objective is to ensure the capacity, expertise, and capability to extract and process data as needed by the Tribes, aligning with the Global Standard Data Management/BCBS239. Together, we strive to achieve a high-quality data chain.

You and your talent

  • Master's degree in data.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong banking knowledge and knowledge of banking products and processes.
  • You have relevant work experience with External Reporting or related regulatory reporting processes with a proven understanding of a bank’s balance sheet and products.
  • You have excellent leadership communication, interpersonal, and management skills with the ability to persuade, negotiate, and arbitrate to influence others to effect change and achieve desired results.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills. You have knowledge of data management concepts such as lineage, data quality monitoring and issue management.
  • Demonstrated ability to push for progress, not settling for the status quo, and constantly seeking improvements.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others to drive progress and achieve data management goals.
  • You are familiar with the Agile/Lean/Scrum way of working.
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English.


This is what we offer you

  • a gross salary between € 6,155.85 and € 8,793.25 (scale 11 depending on experience).
  • thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  • an extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • a pension scheme to which you contribute 3.5%
