Do you have a vision on how to improve the development experience for our 5.000+ engineers, so that they can efficiently develop features for our customers?

Within the area Tech4Dev, squads create standardized services to support the software development processes, ensuring and embedding quality, performance and security standards. Our goal is to make the life of the Rabobank engineers easier and more efficient, by delivering and supporting engineering services optimizing the end-to-end software development process.

  • Provide integrated, standardized, and secure by design services to organize, prioritize, track, and show visibility and transparency in the software development life cycle;
  • Provide various predictable and ready-to-use agent pools with multiple flavors, tailored to different stages of your pipeline;
  • Provide a standardized Contract (-based) Testing (CBT) service, enabling smooth adoption of efficient, autonomous and early (shift-left) integration- and compatibility validation;
  • Provide a standardized Performance Testing service, enabling efficient and early (shift-left) performance validation fitting CI/CD-releases (as well for Cloud as on-prem);
  • Provide crypto services focusing on services to protect, use and exchange sensitive data;
  • Speed up the automation processes of the Adherence/Compliancy controls within the Rabobank software development processes.
  • Reduce effort and knowledge, required by the Engineers, for the Adherence/Compliance processes.
  • Adherence/Compliancy evidence automation within the Rabobank software development processes.

You and your job
Providing ready to go services for the Engineers, transform current tools into services and develop smart solutions. Together with the Tech Lead you will facilitate this transition. Enable squads, implement the S@S way of working, create on- & offshore teams with the right mix of both technical- and soft skills. You will coach, guide, and support squads. In this role you are HR-responsible for the Scrum master, Solution architects and engineers. Make life easy with easy to use and accessible services. Innovate, automate and change where possible. Learn from repetitive questions or incidents, create a culture of being curious and ask questions to really understand users/engineers. Bring creativity and propose solutions. Bridging the gap between what is available and required to enable engineers within the Rabobank.

The Senior Tech Lead Tech4Dev is ultimately responsible for the following:

  • The IT delivery strategy and execution of the Tech4Dev area;
  • To create and execute – in cooperation with the Tech4Dev triangle – a strong IT vision on further developing the Tribe Tech4Engineering;
  • Stakeholder management, being able to act in politically sensitive environments, with different stakeholders at different levels;
  • Fundament for the High Performing Engineering Culture, including capability building for chapter members by continuous upskilling and reskilling of the IT staff and creating a culture of excellence and continuous learning;
  • Leading the transition to empowered and high performance teams;
  • Leading in technology by innovation, change and run;
  • Ensuring stability and security​, and lead the standardization;
  • Build a strong Tech4Dev triangle, together with the Tech4Dev Area Lead, the Tech4Dev Architect and the Tech Lead, with focus on leadership development, leading by example, culture​ and IT;
  • Further maturing the S@S way of working in the domain Tech4Dev;
  • Risk management: demonstrable In control;
  • Adhere to standards & policies, e.g. security policies or Life Cycle Management standards;
  • Focus on quality and build internal knowledge to attract and retain the best employees;
  • Building a talent pipeline and skill pools for skill and craftsmanship development;
  • Communication and influencing skills at the highest level aimed at challenging, influencing, developing and motivating employees and changing behavior;

Profile

It is important to continuously interact with your environment to ensure that the right service is provided. Together with the Area Lead and the Business Architect, you ensure prioritization, roadmap delivery and the optimal contribution to Rabobank's goals. You are the main IT delivery expert within the area triangle. You are also a member of the MT of Tech4Engineering, in which you help shape and further develop the Tech4Engineering strategy. Tech4Engineering is part of the “Engineering & Enterprise Tech” division. An innovative division that focuses on innovation and sustainable strengthening of Rabobank's IT capacity.

Profile

Know-How

  • Seasoned professional experienced (10 years+) in IT competency area, in building, running & changing different IT system areas
  • Knowledge of / experience with software development services and tooling and cloud
  • Knowledge of the latest customer/market developments, and high tech developments
  • Offshore and nearshore development
  • Operates in the triangle of Business, Architecture and IT on Area level
  • Influencing skills at the highest level, primarily concerned with managing a broad stakeholder management field, developing and motivating people and changing behavior

Problem Solving

  • Freedom to think within clearly defined standards & policies and objectives. The incumbent has a strategic impact by contributing to the IT roadmap for the tribe, and for shaping the strategic vision and roadmap of the area.
  • Adaptive thinking challenge for which analytical and interpretative thinking is required.

Works together with the Tech Domain Lead, operates within annual budgeting and compliance demands.

  • Hierarchical manager of around 5 squads, the Scrum masters and Tech Lead;
  • Besides the regular managerial responsibilities, responsible for:
  • Guarding the integral IT approach and link to other IT projects within and outside the tribe
  • Leading in technology in run (including vendor management), change and innovation
  • Managing budgets and increasing the efficiency of software development and maintenance
  • Adhering to IT framework like security standards, life cycle management availability demands
  • Continuously improving the practices of the IT staff in the team
  • Hiring, developing and training the IT staff to continuously improve the productivity of the squad, with a focus on an engineering culture.

This is what we offer you

  • Up to € 140.000,00 - salary per year incl all benefits based on 40 hours (scale 11). (based on experience and knowledge) (incl ebb, holiday allowance and 13the month)
  • A thirteenth month and 8% holiday pay.
  • An Employee Benefit Budget (10% of your monthly income). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout.
  • 100 % reimbursement of the costs of home/work travel if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a home/work travel allowance.
  • A pension scheme where you contribute only 3,5%
