As a Security Awareness Communications professional, you are the mastermind behind our internal integrated communication policies and strategies within the esteemed Security & IT Risk Learning, Drill & Awareness team. But your role extends far beyond mere communication; you are the architect of understanding, transforming complex concepts into easily digestible texts, fostering accessibility to knowledge.

You and your job

  • You spearhead the implementation of internal integrated communication policies and strategies within the Security & IT Risk Learning, Drill & Awareness team.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop and implement internal security knowledge campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and disseminating articles, Viva Engagement posts, and announcements.
  • Drive content creation and maintenance for internal newsletters, ensuring timely delivery of relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Manage and engage with the community, fostering a sense of belonging and participation among team members.
  • Take charge of event management, from strategic planning to seamless execution of internal events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Utilize effective metrics to measure the engagement levels of campaigns and engagement activities, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Provide support in promoting and crafting narrative copy for security learning interventions, trainings, and drills, ensuring clear communication of objectives and benefits.


Top 3 responsibilities 

  • Take charge of executing and evaluating the engagement levels of the global Security Awareness Campaigns calendar.
  • Collaborate closely with the team in executing security-related events, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • Keep security-related information up to date across global internal channels, with proficiency in Sharepoint preferred but not mandatory.


You and your talent

  • Academic Background: Possess a university/HBO degree, ideally in a relevant field such as corporate communications.
  • Professional Experience: Bring a minimum of 3 years of working experience in communications, with a focus on developing internal communication campaigns and instructional materials.
  • Language Proficiency: Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and preferably Dutch.
  • Security and Data Protection Experience: While not mandatory, experience within the field of security or data protection is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Security Concepts: Preferably possess familiarity with security-related fields or certifications, such as SANS SSAP, CISM, or awareness and culture change fields like Employee Engagement Communications or Prosci.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in crafting easy-to-understand texts and communicating complex concepts effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for Development: Show enthusiasm for developing interventions that extend beyond knowledge sharing, adding value and supporting various actions like events and engagement programs.
  • Understanding of Communication Concepts: Understand and apply concepts such as Tone of Voice, briefing, and branding alignment, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights in a security-minded environment.

This is what we offer you

  • a gross monthly salary between € 4.068,- and € 5.811,- (scale 9, 36 hours).
  • 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
  • an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • an annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,-
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
  • a monthly € 40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
  • a monthly € 40,- net internet allowance.
  • Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
