Join us in building low-code solutions to help automate repetitive business processes, we saved over 2,5 million business hours in 2023. We are a young and ambitious team with all the advantages of a big and professional department and with the facilities to grow into the best version of yourself.

You & your job

For one of our engineering teams – Team Purple - we are looking for an RPA engineer who enjoys building new robotics solutions. If you enjoy building new robotics & low-code solutions and also enjoy working together with the business on this, then we would love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who enjoys exploring new areas but is also a real team player and has a ‘can do’ mentality. It will be our shared responsibility to realize the potential that we see in this domain and build some of the best low-code solutions possible.

You will work in a diverse and dynamic team and we are working with technologies like UiPath and/or Kofax and PowerApps to create the best low-code solutions possible for our customers. Our goal is to make our organization more efficient for the short and long term, but also to relieve our colleagues of repetitive and sometimes frustrating work. This is how we make the work of our colleagues within the bank more fun!

Team Purple is a team that is one of the several Robotics teams within the Robotics Center of Excellence of the Rabobank. Each team has its focus in terms of stakeholders and businesses they work for (e.g. Finance, HR, Operations, Digital). Team Purple focuses primarily on CRO (the risk department) of Rabobank and might also pick up more international work in the future. It’s a hybrid team with people from one of our trusted vendors, working from India, and internal Rabobank employees.

What you will be doing

  • You will be working alongside the Product Owner to develop automation projects, analyse processes and prepare work for the engineers
  • Together you will build and manage robotics/ low-code solutions based on specific use cases and become an expert in this field of technology
  • You are also able to make an active organizational contribution to the continuous improvement of the Center of Excellence

Facts & figures

  • Minimum of 32 hours a week (standard is 36)
  • Department of around 60 colleagues
  • Worldwide ±47.000 Rabobank colleagues

Top 3 responsibilities

  • You can embrace innovation, analyze processes, make a technical translation, and implement it.
  • Communication and coordination with various parties (business) is a large part of the work.
  • The Robotics CoE is growing strongly, so you must be able to reflect and adapt quickly.

We value personal growth very much, so there will be plenty of opportunities to grow in this role and since we are growing as a department there will also be opportunities found there, may the growth be with you.

Fun & work

“Working as a Robotics Engineer is extremely varied and therefore never boring. On one assignment I am building a robot and on another assignment I am developing a power app to support the business in their daily work. That variety in work, the opportunity to develop yourself, and also help determine what your next assignment will be, is why this is such a great position. I feel a lot of ownership of my projects and am proud when for example a new robot goes live.”

Together we achieve more

Collaboration is an important topic within our team. With each other, we join forces to build robots that enable our organization to create even more added value for the bank and thus be able to serve our customers even better. The team was founded 6 years ago and we have grown rapidly over the years and are still expanding.

At this point we are looking for candidates with experience in RPA, specifically UiPath, however, we have our own Robotics Academy to teach you all that is needed to start building as an Engineer within Rabobank. We believe in the power of differences. It is precisely by combining people's differences that we become an even better bank. We are therefore curious about what you have to offer to our Robotics department.

The mission of the 60 people in the Robotics Center of Excellence is to make automation solutions to relieve other parts of the organization’s repetitive work. We work together in Agile teams to maximize the impact that we can make within Rabobank.
