Within Detecting Financial Crime (DFC), the activities related to detecting financial crime have been brought together. By combining knowledge, expertise and strengths across the entire ABN AMRO group, we are better able to keep financial crime out of our banking systems, deal with new developments and realize innovative opportunities. Advances in technology are both an opportunity and a threat. Not only can this improve our investigative work, it also makes organized crime more and more sophisticated. 'Detecting Financial Crime' is therefore an 'ongoing process' that demands the utmost from our expertise and alertness day in day out. ABN AMRO invests in this field through partnerships with industry-leading vendors & fintech initiatives, cutting-edge (machine-learning) techniques, interbank partnerships and public-private partnerships.

For the CAAP team we are looking for tech savvy and experienced Business Developer that an help to make our processes more efficient and robust.

Your job

As a Business Developer for the CAAP (Client Due Diligence Advanced Analytics Platform) you are the linking pin between business and IT. You will be responsible to discuss with stakeholders their needs, requirements, as well as, think along the business processes and translate them to IT relatable items (via the Product Backlog). A Business Developer from the CAAP team should strive for structural solutions instead of quick fixes. Since, both, CAAP and DFC have a variety of solutions, it is of great importance to have a broad overview and good understanding of what piece of the business process they fulfil, what they deliver and how they interrelate, so that optimal improvements can be provided to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for discussing and drafting realistic project plans with the Product Owner and stakeholders as well as address dependencies in execution.

Working environment

The Detecting Financial Crime Grid is responsible for developing and managing the CDD/KYC processes and applications within the bank. The Grid consists of value delivery blocks in the field of Client Acceptance, Client Filtering, Transaction Filtering, Transaction Monitoring, Robotics, Case Management, Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics. As Business Developer of CAAP you report to the Lead Product Owner of CAAP and you mainly perform your work with the development team; with the Product Owner, Business Developers and IT Engineers. The development team consists of employees in the Netherlands. You also work a lot with other teams within and outside of the DFC Grid, Operational stakeholders and Process & Design departments.

Your profile

- You have a HBO/WO Bachelor's or Master's degree;

- At least 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within financial services or consultancy;

- You have an affinity with IT and an understanding of the possibilities and challenges in the field of automation and digitization;

- You have strong analytical skills, you quickly understand complex matter and you can quickly see and explain connections;

- You have knowledge of data modeling and data contracts for IT system integrations;

- You enjoy working on an innovative product that is under construction and development;

- You are social, collaborative, curious and innovative;

- You master English language skills at a business level and you have good communication skills, both oral and written.
