Area Data. Models, Analytics & Calculations within the Housing tribe is responsible for the data logistic chain within the lending domain, models, analytics and complex calculations. To deliver and renew our services with the right quality, we strive to be a high performing team (HPT). Fun, ownership and mutual trust form the basis of our team. We work by conforming to DevOps and Agile/Scrum-principles. We improve ourselves continuously within these methods, so we can use the capabilities or these methods as much as possible in order to achieve the best possible results.

The Senior Azure Developer / Senior DevOps Engineer you are a proactive team player who works closely with other disciplines in the DevOps team. You therefore have a natural drive to delve into the adjacent disciplines (T-shape). Collaborating with the Business Analysts in the team is naturally for you and, where necessary, you also take care of part of the (data) analysis and the prototype creation. With your experience you also pitch in the problem areas of the team e.g. helping the testers in creating a test strategy.

You have good communication skills. You know how to put forward your own opinion by means of convincing and appealing arguments, whereby your attitude and tone match the other. This ensures broad support.

In addition, you are a pro-active team player who immediately sees what a team needs to excel. You will be guiding and coaching to create high-value products using Agile/Scrum concepts and principles. With the other Dev Ops Engineers you also ensure security and in-control by design within the department. You support several teams by educating them and helping them control progress on the (software) development process. You should be able to T-shape within the team as per the requirement or when time allows.

Required knowledge and experience:

• Minimum completed relevant HBO or WO training.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a comparable position in a complex ICT environment.
• Knowledge of Banking/Finance and / or the accountability chain is an advantage
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; able to translate business requirements into data  management (data governance, data privacy, data access and data quality) specifications.
• Expert knowledge and experience with Azure Data Factory and knowledge of Synapse is an advantage
• Expert knowledge with at least 3 years of experience with Azure Databricks
• Expert knowledge of relational databases like SQL DB and Oracle
• Knowledge of various Azure components and should be able to design new solution on Azure
• Knowledge of Python and Pyspark is a must.
• Experience with establishing and maintaining standards and development principles.
• Experience with drawing up specifications for ETL processes is an advantage.
• Experience with Architecture issues is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with DevOps, Scrum, ITIL.
• Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in Testing and automation is an advantage.
• Experience and Knowledge of migration to Azure Cloud, Power BI is nice to have.
• Knowledge of Pipeline (CI/CD), Git and Azure Devops tooling including drafting and management.
• Knowledge of EDL. Experience with setting up Information Factories incl. setting up data pipelines.
• Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of Azure Delta lake is an advantage – as we are far from using Delta Lake as of now.

• A gross monthly salary with a maximum of € 5.811 (salary scale 9) or € 6929 (scale 10) possible depending on experience, knowledge and education.
• An 8% holiday allowance and a 13th month;
• A pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 5,5%.
• An Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary); you decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving extra cash on a monthly basis;
• An annual Personal Development Budget of € 1.400,-.
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance;
• A monthly € 40,- nett work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
• A monthly € 40,- nett internet allowance.
