We are Accounting and Product Control Global Markets, a highly international and multi-cultural team within Financial Accounting that is responsible for reporting and recording of the financial results of Global Markets. With a constant focus from our stakeholders and regulators on climate and other sustainability-related topics, the Markets external reporting will have to comply with new requirements. You like to understand the complex and rapidly changing playing field of non-financial reporting requirements and to come up with a practical proposal for ABN AMRO's reports based on a good analysis. You easily identify interests of various internal stakeholders and are able to come to solutions that give a faithful representation of the Markets performance. Your job

Are you looking for a challenging job? A job where you can test your data skills on new developments in financial management and product control? You’ll work together in a team to prepare monthly and quarterly reports, analyze and explain developments of the financial and non-financial figures compared to external developments and liaise with the Front office traders and other stakeholders.

You are a data-enthusiast, who has affinity with financial markets, its products, measurement of financial instruments, prudent valuation, IFRS financial reporting as welll as non-financial reporting (Sustainable Finance Reporting). You are assertive, eager to learn, and rigorous when interpreting data. You are able to collaborate with other teams and establish new processes for changing requirements. You like the financial complexity of the products we work with and are keen on delivering your part in bringing our financial reporting to an even higher level of quality. You produce reports in which you draw conclusions and make recommendations. You are interested in financial instruments and able to analyse performance of these instruments. You are quick to translate current events (e.g. economic and regulatory) into appropriate action.

Working environment

Global Markets Accounting & Product Control teams are responsible for the entire internal and external reporting of the Global Markets domain. This domain focuses on, among others, foreign exchange trading, fixed income products, interest related products and many more.

Financial markets are continuously evolving, which requires constantly new insights in the analyses we prepare. IT requirements and external regulations also change continuously. We are looking for your creativity and ideas that will bring us in the future.

The team is part of Financial Accounting, the core department of Finance. You will work in a team that is focused on achieving high quality results. Next to the regular processes, the Product Control & Accounting department is implementing a new system environment in which you’ll participate to ensure successful implementation.

Your profile

You have a masters degree in Finance or Economics. You have the talent to use high volumes of complex data to find connections. You are curious about underlying causes, you reason logically, and you have an eye for detail. You can clearly set out your interpretation of data in reports, and your advice is well-founded and specific. You have experience in setting up new processes and collaborating with various other departments within and outside of finance. You are comfortable working with large amounts of data and able to analyse data to establish appropriate trends. Your reports fulfil a significant need for information that exists among various parties. You want to know about the underlying issues so that you can provide parties with the right data and advice.

We are looking for an ambitious professional who combines knowledge with a hands-on mentality. You listen and ask questions. You have a helicopter view and are intrinsically motivated to work in Finance.

You have excellent analytical capacities.
